Air Plant Capitata Enhanced Peach

MAY BE AVAILABLE IN-STORE

$11.99

Air plant popularity has grown, for good reason, due to their ease of care – they don’t require soil, are non-toxic and pet friendly, and can be used creatively in a wide range of beautiful and even whimsical plant decor arrangements in the home, office or a child’s room.

Air plants are happiest in bright indirect light, and require watering approximately once a week, and also enjoy misting between watering.

To water your air plant, place in a bowl filled with room temperature water, leave in bowl for 20 to 30 minutes to allow the air plant to soak up the water it needs. Remove air plant from water after allotted time, and shake off excess water really well, this will prevent rotting.

Part of the Tillandsia genus

There are hundreds of different air plants, which are a type of epiphyte, that grow on top of other plants (typically trees) co-existing in a harmonious and harmless way. When growing in their natural environment, they derive vital nutrients from the air, sun, and water around them, gaining their name as Air Plant. What look like roots on an air plant are not used for nutrients, but to anchor themselves to a tree or plant, so they don’t require soil.
