What is Mead?
Mead, sometimes called “the drink of the god’s” is made by fermenting honey and one of the oldest alcoholic beverages ever made, as it was consumed as far back as 4,000 years. Mead was common across ancient cultures around the world including those in Asia, Europe and Africa.
In addition to being a Cidery, we are also designated as a Meadery to share our love of honey, being one of only a dozen in Ontario.
From Pollinator to Pint
We enjoy adding local flavours to our new cider creations. Our mead and honey are made locally from our 100+ beehives that are important pollinators for helping grow our flowers and berries in the fields. Honey is rich in many important antioxidants linked to beneficial effects on heart health.
