Zamioculcas zamiifolia, commonly named ZZ Plant, is an ideal option if you don’t have a bright room or office. They can grow just about any room that has some light, and they don’t require a lot of water, making them a easy to care for houseplant.
ZZ plants don’t make a fuss and they add an element of green while helping to purify your air. Best to not water these too much, they can thrive with water as little as once a month. As a general rule, the more light a plant gets the more water it requires, and thus the less light the less water. Before watering, check with your fingers if the soil is dry at least 2″ down, if it is and it’s been at least 2 weeks since you last watered, you’re OK to give them a drink again.
Keep your ZZ leaves shiny and healthy, by gently wiping the leaves with a soft cloth, only when you can see dust.
